
AIoT-Sys Application
The NSF-funded AIoT-Sys REU Program at UC Irvine offers an intensive summer research experience at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. Students work closely with faculty mentors and present their work at the end of the program.
Program Information
- Dates: June 22 – August 14, 2026
- Location: UC Irvine (Irvine, CA)
- Commitment: Full-time (~35 hours/week) for 8 weeks; includes a 3-day bootcamp at the start
- Support: $700/week (total $5,600) + travel support up to $700 + housing/meals provided + IoT kit
- Deadline: March 29, 2026 (11:59 PM PT)
Eligibility
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident (International students are NOT eligible).
- Sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors enrolled at a U.S. 2-year or 4-year college/university.
- Majors in Computing, Engineering, or closely related STEM fields.
- GPA 3.0 or higher (or equivalent).
- Must be 18 years or older by the start of the program.
- No prior research experience required.
